      Audience Member Low budget but decent crime drama. Jayne, approaching the end of her brief heyday, is pretty good as the sort of den mother to a group of strippers, she even performs a few mediocre numbers. This really shows how the vision of the desirable female form has changed over the years. Nowadays the lithe hard body look if the goal but Jayne is anything but that, very curvy and quite plump she is harshly lit as is the film but even with that at times she looks stunning. The plot takes a while to get going and really isn't focused sharply enough to make the film as involving as it should be but Leo Genn is good in the lead and he and Jayne hold your interest whenever they are on screen. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member This is an English made movie. Jayne Mansfield is the only American Actress. The titles say it was filmed in "colour". I guess the only surviving copies are the black and white version. The story is about a London night club. Most of the movie is spent showing the acts of the night club dancers. The story is about the night club owner being asked to pay protection money to a rival club owner. Jayne Mansfield is one of the dancers and is the house mother to the rest of the dancers. I first ordered a DVD of this movie from the Playboy catalog. It was made by GMI Films Inc. Cinema Stars. It was a really bad copy. One section of the movie played out of order and then repeated where it was supposed to be. I later order a copy from KOCH Vision LLC's The Cinema Sirens Collection. It was a much better version. It was in the correct order. Both used the same black and white version. The acting was very melodramatic. The story was boring. The reason to watch the movie was Jayne Mansfield's fake night club acts and the acts of the other actresses. They were probably much better in the original color version.
