Audience Member This is a marvelous movie on a number of levels. The acting is good. The production values are quite good as well. It also is historically accurate and gives us a good picture of life behind the Iron Curtain after Communists seized power following World War II. It shows the extreme measures totalitarians will take to maintain their power and the way they will try to suppress believers in anything or anyone other than the total authority of their oppressors. The actor who plays Richard Wurmbrand (Emil Mandanac) does a supeb job as does his wife, Sabina (Raluca Botez). The narration is in English (at least in America), I assume in different languages elsewhere, but the dialogue is in Romanian with sub-titles. Because of some of the torture scenes, it is not a film for the faint hearted. But it deals with a topic that still needs to be addressed today. The Soviet Union and many of it's satellites have fallen as has the Iron Curtain, but hatred for those who believe in Jesus Christ and His bride, the church, have not vanished even in the "free world," we need to heed the many lessons Pastor Wurmbrand and others like him would teach us.
