When he hears news of a life-changing find in a mine managed by his associate, David MacRoy (Bob Wilke), investor Bill Harmon (Allan "Rocky" Lane) travels west. Harmon's celebratory mood is diminished when he discovers that MacRoy has died under mysterious circumstances -- and just after the town doctor, Ryan (Roy Barcroft), had a chance to purchase his share of the mine at an alarmingly discounted price. As Harmon investigates MacRoy's death, he falls prey to a ring of conspirators.
