Trainwreck drags commitment out of all but the most rom-com-phobic filmgoers with sharp humor, relatable characters, and hilarious work from Amy Schumer.

Audience Member Was this a perfect movie? No, but the writing was crisp with its edgy blend of humor, & vulnerability earning it a 5.! 🥳 Amy is perfection in this role as is Tilda. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Lebron’s lines had me in stitches!🤣 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/24 Full Review Test T I watched this on DVD recently. It started with a great analogy about how two little girls felt about their relationships with their toy dolls which I thought was really funny. One of those girls grew up to be Amy, who turns out to be a bit trashy. She has a very amusing boss though, and the sports pro's her doctor boyfriend works with share some amusing insights, but Amy herself is not that funny. She's just dirty really, and fairly unattractive. So sadly, I'm not a fan! It's not a terrible film, but Amy's direct sex talk soon wares thin and she has very little else to offer once the shock factor has passed. It's worth a look if you find yourself at a loose end but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review D M What can I say, another comedic love story. There were parts that are brilliantly funny but overall it was a just ok film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/24/24 Full Review alan g Horrible, crude, rude, low class, unwatchable. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/20/24 Full Review Cem Y One of the good comedy movies that I have seen which is actually quite rare to find. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/19/24 Full Review Devin D It would have been better if Amy's Disney channel acting hadn't gotten in the way. Jess Kibler Bitch Media Though her new film Trainwreck, directed by Judd Apatow, isn't a wreck - there's plenty of material to laugh about - it remains disappointingly myopic. Feb 3, 2021 Full Review Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Trainwreck is a complete blast. Even as it sends up rom-com clichés, it manages to be both seriously funny and genuinely romantic. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 10, 2016 Full Review Jonathan Romney Observer (UK) Enjoyable enough, and certainly not a trainwreck - it just doesn't quite clear the platform. Rated: 3/5 Aug 16, 2015 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson If you're not into Schumer's crassness and randomness, the film is going to feel like episodic fits and starts within a flawed romantic comedy that feels like pieces from different and better films. Rated: 3/5 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It's worth enduring a few inane jokes and about a half-hour of pointless material to experience the smart, funny, raunchy, and touching humor Schumer and Apatow deliver. Rated: 3/4 Jun 9, 2022 Full Review Kip Mooney Central Track It might be the year's best comedy. Rated: A- Aug 10, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
