Ever since her father drilled into her head that monogamy isn't realistic, magazine writer Amy has made promiscuity her credo. As much as she enjoys an uninhibited life free of commitment, Amy is really in a rut. While writing a profile about charming and successful sports doctor Aaron Conners, she finds herself actually falling in love for the first time, and what's more, Aaron seems to like her too. Amy starts to wonder if it's time to clean up her act.

Jess Kibler Bitch Media Though her new film Trainwreck, directed by Judd Apatow, isn't a wreck - there's plenty of material to laugh about - it remains disappointingly myopic. Feb 3, 2021 Full Review Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Trainwreck is a complete blast. Even as it sends up rom-com clichés, it manages to be both seriously funny and genuinely romantic. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 10, 2016 Full Review Jonathan Romney Observer (UK) Enjoyable enough, and certainly not a trainwreck - it just doesn't quite clear the platform. Rated: 3/5 Aug 16, 2015 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson If you're not into Schumer's crassness and randomness, the film is going to feel like episodic fits and starts within a flawed romantic comedy that feels like pieces from different and better films. Rated: 3/5 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It's worth enduring a few inane jokes and about a half-hour of pointless material to experience the smart, funny, raunchy, and touching humor Schumer and Apatow deliver. Rated: 3/4 Jun 9, 2022 Full Review Kip Mooney Central Track It might be the year's best comedy. Rated: A- Aug 10, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Dave H Hilarious to see all the Amy haters, hating on this laugh out loud comedy, with a heart. You'd almost think they never actually watched the movie... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/25 Full Review Lorry S Love Amy! All of her movies make me laugh. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review Brandi A Cannot recommend. Amy is not funny and hard to look at. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/25 Full Review Alexander S I personally don’t enjoy Amy Schumer’s work, but Trainwreck aligns with the tone she aims to convey in her comedies, this film’s central theme, the namesake of the movie, effectively captures this tone. Consequently, it’s the only one of her films that allowed me to laugh at her humor and appreciate her decent performance. Grading: C+ Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/09/25 Full Review Dan C Once again, Amy Schumer proves herself to be a one-trick pony. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/25 Full Review Julian S TRAINWRECK, Schumer’s big-screen debut, moves effortlessly between sharp laughs and a surprising touch of poignancy.
