As much as she enjoys an uninhibited life free of commitment, Amy is really in a rut. While writing a profile about charming and successful sports doctor Aaron Conners, she finds herself actually falling in love for the first time, and what's more, Aaron seems to like her too. Jess Kibler Bitch Media Though her new film Trainwreck, directed by Judd Apatow, isn't a wreck - there's plenty of material to laugh about - it remains disappointingly myopic. Feb 3, 2021 Full Review Max Weiss Baltimore Magazine Trainwreck is a complete blast. Even as it sends up rom-com clichés, it manages to be both seriously funny and genuinely romantic. Rated: 3.5/4 Jun 10, 2016 Full Review Jonathan Romney Observer (UK) Enjoyable enough, and certainly not a trainwreck - it just doesn't quite clear the platform. Rated: 3/5 Aug 16, 2015 Full Review Don Shanahan Every Movie Has a Lesson If you're not into Schumer's crassness and randomness, the film is going to feel like episodic fits and starts within a flawed romantic comedy that feels like pieces from different and better films. Rated: 3/5 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review It's worth enduring a few inane jokes and about a half-hour of pointless material to experience the smart, funny, raunchy, and touching humor Schumer and Apatow deliver. Rated: 3/4 Jun 9, 2022 Full Review Kip Mooney Central Track It might be the year's best comedy. Rated: A- Aug 10, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews

Gareth v A smart, funny, and heartfelt rom-com that benefits from its unconventional lead and surprising sincerity. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/09/25 Full Review Nic S Ever since “Trainwreck” came out 10 years ago, I’ve wanted to watch this film - and it’s not just because Lebron James was my favourite athlete I promise. Nevertheless, a relatable comedy centered around real relationships? My 14 year old self was 100% in. Somehow, I never got passed to watching it, until now. Starting out, I was kind of skeptical, knowing Amy Schumer’s controversies with stealing jokes from other comedians and being unoriginal, etc etc. But as the movie went on - I really started to like it. At its core, “Trainwreck” showcases the unfiltered, unglamorous life of a young woman, baggage and all through solely a woman’s lens, and that’s truly refreshing. We have been bombarded with wish fulfilment, princess-like romcoms that can be at times soulless to plain predictable. This film throws those sugar coated fillings right at itself while still maintaining a light humour grounded in real life. I appreciate how we get to see her go through everyday things, simple as that, from hating a dumb, unfulfilling job, dealing with a sickly addict father in hospice care, spending time with a “picture perfect” sister, to escaping her problems with useless vices and navigating falling for someone when you have intimacy issues - things we typically leave out of a feel good film, but somehow work here! Most of all, I like how all the characters feel well-rounded, even the office tertiary people and superstar basketball players feel like they have inner lives and back and forth repertoires with the rest of the cast, making the movie’s world feel rich and lived in. Additionally, I also appreciate how the relationship naturally develops with no cliches in sight. There’s clearly heart and experience duly placed in this film with some autobiographical aspects involved. I understand “Trainwreck” was probably revolutionary for its time, straying from the hyper fairytale we were fed and instead making audiences craves for real stories with real people, and I think this film earned it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/01/25 Full Review D'Andrea B. This movie was so fun to watch. Amy Schumer is hilarious and cute. Bill Hader was so charming. Most importantly, LEBRON JAMES!!! Dude, he was so funny and nerdy in this different portrayal of himself. In my list of funniest movies ever!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/01/25 Full Review Andrew H Amy Haters are cringey. This film is hilarious and heartfelt. Lebron James is funny as shiz. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/13/25 Full Review Stephen C Funny in 2 hours and 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
