Always had a soft spot for this hugely entertaining slice of low budget sci-fi. Tim Thomerson is superb as Jack Deth who's performance largely carries the movie and papers over the budgetary cracks. Helen Hunt's before they were famous performance shows why she went on to become a star. There's some decent (for the time and ultra low budget) special effects, a witty script with some memorable lines (delivered with great applom and timing by Thomerson) and a nice touch of 80's humour. I've watched this lots of times over the years and it always puts a big smile on my face. It's obviously 'inspired' by the likes of Terminator and Blade Runner but it stands on its own enough to be considered a bit of a low budget, minor sci-fi classic in my book.
