Audience Member Not viewed by Smarty. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member I enjoyed the movie. The idea and how it was played through were very good. I found the acting a little stiff and the characters slightly undeveloped so it didn't hold me well. But how each individual reacted to the communal bodies and lives was imaginative. They play with the black and white thing the poor and rich. It came across just a little flat because they didn't take the time to get us/me invested. The individuals had signed on with an understanding and then the men reacted like they had been tricked. It seemed roughly done and thought out. With that said. I did enjoy sitting through it and recommend it because of the conceptual twists. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I was completely blown away by this film. It tackles some very difficult issues of race, class, poverty, and genetics head on, all while telling a riveting story. Definitely worth a watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A nice sci-fi watch, i loved the concept, must understand German or don't mind reading subtitles. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I love movies like this. After a while I even forgot that I had to read sub titles. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Transfer is a slow movie that will gently pick you up and make you face reality. It's all about life eternal, what we humans are ready to do, what can technology bring us, to what extent should we embrace it, and how much control do we have over our future. The technology itself is totally bogus, but that is extremely easy to ignore. Once the situation is set, conflicts arise. You never know exactly where you're going to end up, and the screen writer make sure you get what you need to keep your eye riveted to the show. The disappointments are few. A bit slow, not a lot of action, and subtitled. That's about it. See if if you're ready for an unconventional romance set in a sterilized view of the future.
