The acting might be shoddy, the plot nonsense and the dialogue clunky, but the fighting is exquisitely done. Inventive, athletic, fun, stylish and tight, it's everything the rest of the film isn't.

Decided to revisit The Transporter after not seeing it for about twenty years and was majorly underwhelmed. Then again, the teenage me is the intended audience for this underwritten endeavour. Besson displays his usual lack of judgment. He's not at all interested in logic, structure or character motivations as long as the dialouge is sassy, the action is hard-boiled and the explosions keep coming. This is as lazy as action films come.

With Jason Statham delivering a career-defining performance, expertly crafted action sequences, and a sleek, stylish presentation, this film is a must-watch for any action fan. It’s proof that a great action movie doesn’t need overcomplicated plots or excessive CGI—just a compelling lead, expertly choreographed stunts, and non-stop excitement. Even two decades later, The Transporter remains one of the best action films of its era. If you love fast cars, brutal fight scenes, and a no-nonsense action hero, this is a movie that absolutely delivers.
