David Parkinson Empire Magazine A timely doc that seeks to amuse and inform as much as alarm. Rated: 3/5 Feb 25, 2013 Full Review Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times The movie, as have other eco-documentaries, chillingly examines how endless bits of the toxic material routinely flood our oceans, harm its inhabitants and find their way into the fish we eat. Rated: 4/5 Dec 14, 2012 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times If we must talk trash, Mr. Irons - assisted by a scientist or two and Vangelis's doomy score - is an inspired choice of guide. Rated: 4/5 Dec 13, 2012 Full Review Jamie S. Rich Oregonian Some arguments are a bit hamfisted, and Irons plays the serious journalist card a little too hard, but overall, Trashed is thought-provoking and illuminating. Rated: 3/5 Apr 11, 2013 Full Review Brent Simon Shared Darkness A vividly sketched doc of environmental warning which deploys co-producer Jeremy Irons as its inquisitive guide, Candida Brady's film serves as a compelling indictment of modern profligacy. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/16/23 Full Review Audience Member 1/19/15 Vudu Disturbing, educational, scary, well researched and a wake up call. Big Jeremy Irons fan and he did a great job along with a whole host of knowledgeable people who painted a somewhat dire picture but did have some bits of encouragement. Film really makes you think about how you can improve the trash situation with some thoughtful shopping and living. This is why I love documentaries. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Hard to watch the devastation, but we must change our habits on earth. Zero Waste is the way forward.
