An entertaining extremely low budget Jaw's parody- with a Great White Pine instead of a Great White Shark :p

Following the template laid out by Jaws this film is essentially a scene for scene remake with a tree taking the role of the shark! The problem here is it does not have the suspense of the original, nor does it have the fun aspect of a parody. Its stuck in the middle, becoming a cheap, well thought out but ultimatley dull remake. The actings is average but it does not really matter anyway as the film never gives you any reason to like anyone even thou the script tries to add some depth to the lead. Hes just to nerdy to actually care about. Theres one or two fun scenes (one involving the tree attacking a camoflagued man hiding in a steel cage) but overall most jokes fall flat. No blood again aside from comedy blood thrown out of the trees by a bucket. The thing they wasted in this was the tree itself. You get predator view from the tree (all green) when it attacks but the attacks are poor and the tree wandering around is basically just aguy moving it or shaking it off screen. With a bit more gore and a tongue firmly imbeded in its cheek this could have been really funny. But they did not so it just comes off as a strange and slightly dull parody!
