Critics Consensus

Another claustrophobic thriller that Joel Schumacher can churn out in his sleep, Trespass is nasty and aggressive, more unpleasant than entertaining.

It gets increasingly worse as it progresses, heightened by terrible acting all around and a poor script. Go to Full Review

Starting with writer Karl Gajdusek's inane screenplay, the film is a hodgepodge of clichs that gets worse and worse as it goes along. So bad it's almost wonderful, this is one motion picture that almost needs to be seen to be believed. Go to Full Review

Cloth-eared dialogue saps the tension, while the plot twists with the likelihood of a Brett Ratner rehearsal session. Leave your disbelief at the door. Go to Full Review

As home invasion movies go, Trespass is a bad one, so bad even Cage’s usual over-the-top routine fails to eke out some entertainment value. Go to Full Review

Christian D @Christian4202 4d If you want to watch Nicole Kidman and Nicholas Cage act from the 1990s, I would watch this movie. For even 2011 the acting is over the top unbelievable. Am I watching Nicole Kidman and Nicholas Cage or the young and the restless? See more Melissa L @Agent99 Sep 17 I thought this was a very good movie and I don't know why it has such low ratings. See more Christina F Jul 20 I expected the film to be worse, but the beginning captivates you and gets your full on attention and it's good! Worth a watch. However with that being said at the end your left annoyed with all the characters and stupidity of the whole thing. Very annoying movie.. See more R. M Mar 25 Worse movie ever! The writers are PATHETIC. The post is RIDICULOUS. The actors should be very embarrassed See more RICK S Mar 15 Love Nichole, but this movie is really bad. Starts out okay, but that drags so badly, that a 90-minute movie seems like 3 hours. See more Jeffrey P 08/25/2024 The cast makes it and sells it. Overcasted for such a basic story that meanders along comfortably as slightly above average towards an ending that does not shock. See more Read all reviews
