matthias s *Trevor Noah: Where Was I* is a solid introduction to his stand-up, especially if you’ve only seen him on *The Daily Show* like I had. He shines with his incredible accents and impersonations, and his knack for smart, biting satire comes through in several parts. I cried laughing during his Star Wars bit, and the Sweet Caroline and swimming jokes were a real treat. That said, there are pacing issues—he tends to dwell on the same topics a bit too much, which slows things down. It feels like he's clearly talented, but the material wasn't as varied as I'd hoped. Overall, it’s enjoyable but not his strongest performance. Three stars!
