Heather Hogan Autostraddle A very funny movie for people who grew up on Scooby-Doo. Oct 5, 2022 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy With nostalgia taking a hit with the wretched likes of Halloween Kills and Space Jam: A New Legacy, it’s understandable to approach a new Scooby-Doo film with a sense of dread. But Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo! is definitely a treat. Rated: 3/4 Oct 30, 2022 Full Review Jennifer Borget Common Sense Media Young Scooby-Doo fans will find lots to enjoy, and so will parents nostalgic for the franchise in this Halloween-themed mystery. It's silly and straightforward but a fun way to get into the Halloween spirit. Rated: 3/5 Oct 12, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Tara J I grew up watching scooby doo and love this franchise this movie was absolutely horrible. The jokes are horrible, the motives are bad, the resolutions are dumb, Scooby has a really negative and weird personality and he says full sentences and bad jokes that break the 4th wall and just not really even a Scooby movie Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/28/24 Full Review Alex W The premise of Trick Or Treat Scooby Doo is not bad. Having one super villain that designed all the costumes is a cool plot idea. The execution of this movie however is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The animation style is horrible and the writing is so boring. It also ABSOLUTELY RUINS one of my favourite characters Velma. I would NEVER recommend this movie at all!!! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/25/24 Full Review matthias s As a lifelong fan of the Scooby-Doo franchise, *Trick or Treat Scooby-Doo!* brought back a lot of nostalgic fun. The animation style stays true to the classic feel, and the voices are great, with Matthew Lillard continuing to be the perfect Shaggy—he’s truly the backbone of this franchise. The movie’s concept is really fun and captures the same quirky mystery-solving vibe as the old cartoons, making it enjoyable for both long-time fans and new viewers alike. It's perfect for Halloween or just if you're a Scooby-Doo fan in general. The beginning is a bit slow, but once the gang gets into the heart of the mystery, the energy picks up and it becomes a real treat. The humor is light, and there are plenty of fun moments to keep you entertained. While it’s not groundbreaking, it’s a solid, fun watch that stays true to the spirit of Scooby-Doo. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/21/24 Full Review Tamem H a bad movie warner bros destroyed childhood they made my favourite character velma dinkley lesbian I rated it 1/2 star only to know to rate and write warner bros #make_velma_straight_again Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/14/24 Full Review Astrum M Personally, I found this to be a decent children's film. Nothing show stopping, but not horrible. I appreciated the film being 2D animated and having an art style which captured the essence of the original Scooby Doo series. Honestly, reading the criticism of this film most of it was about Velma having a crush on the villainess. I find this to be rather dumb, as it literally didn't take anything away from the story or her character. Velma and the villainess didn't even get together, kiss, hold hands etc. I'm sure if Velma had a crush on some new guy, no one would have said anything. Children will be eventually be exposed to gay people in real life one day, so why is it such a big deal? My only criticism is of the scene where Daphne and Fred discuss about Daphne being the leader of the gang. This did feel forced or like a "Woke" afterthought and I wish they would just have had Daphne's contributions to the gang speak for themself. You don't have to state out loud that Daphne is a leader for her to be viewed as a leader. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Matthew Horrible. Made the mistake of starting this on HBO with my 9 year old daughter because we've watched all the classic Scooby-Doo shows and movies. Didn't see it was made in the 2020's till after we turned it off. Avoid it unless you like having your kids inducted into progressive group think. My daughter buried her head under her blanket when Velma said she had a crush on the main villain. That's where we turned it off. At least my kid has a good head on her shoulders. Can't say the same for people that support this trash. Let kids be kids. Sad I didn't turn it off sooner. Lesson learned. Stick to 2010 and earlier produced shows and movies. Thanks scooby doo, it was nice knowing you. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
