Given the incoherence of its satirical aspirations (the film does end with a suggestion that everyone involved still loves this business we call show), and finally too scattershot to really make it as parody, Tropic Thunder is best appreciated as a goof.

I always assumed this movie was a serious war movie. never watched any trailers but I heard about it growing up, One day i decided to watch it with a bud of mine and I was amazed. this is funny as hell

One of the best comedies out there. It is not for everyone but those who like - love it ! Acting is great, lines are very funny and the whole premise is so unlike standard Hollywood comedy. We need Tropic Thunder 2 !!!

It's really a strange movie, but it had it's moments, and it was funny seeing Jack Black getting into a super raunchy role. Dang, this film is LOADED with famous actors! That dance that Tom Cruise did with the music is so funny.
