Tropic Thunder has one of the greatest intros to a comedy movie. Combined complex issues and absurdity to produce a fantastic story and many memorable moments. This movie m-m-m-m-makes me happy. See more Joshua H @SnoopySoup11 Jul 9 Rating: 5.7/10 - Coming into this movie, I knew it was going to be a very dumb movie and I would have to take it with a grain of salt. The reason this movie is so low rated is due to the fact that a lot of the jokes just were not funny. I'm not someone who gets offended by jokes, so do not think because I said this movie wasn't funny I am offended. I did enjoy Tugg Speedman and Kirks performance and personality, the issue is that there just was not many funny moments. I did not enjoy or think there were any funny moments of Jeff. Comedy movies are hard for me to rate because I feel like I usually do not laugh at a lot of things and the plot lines are usually bad in these movies. With my humor being hard to hit, the feel good aspect of these movies have to carry. With that being said, Tugg and Kirk do have some feel good moments and are characters I enjoy, the ending isn't all that sad or feel good which hurts my personal rating of this film. See more Carter H @quality_finds Jul 8 So stupid, yet so funny in its own original way I would think to give this movie 2 stars for the quality of the movie and almost for the story But the reality is that this movie is a form of art in the sense of the feeling the picture creates The actors in the movie absolutely overshadowed the films low quality, most of all RDJ, Tom Cruise, and Jack Black This movie’s comedy aspect was well written and accomplishes a story that leaves you in a good mood I would love to give this movie more than 4 stars because of how much I liked the characters, but as much as I loved this movie it can’t match my standards I would recommend this movie as a humorous comedy, it’s definitely a funny movie with neat moments and phenomenal characters But 3.5 stars is a solid take because of the actors and the movies entertainment and original comedy See more Read all reviews
