Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com This movie is certifiably insane, that's a given, but it's also extremely witty, has far more intelligence than you might originally expect and has a grand time exploding clichés and playing with an audience's expectations. Rated: 3.5/4 Jan 27, 2012 Full Review Ben Sachs Chicago Reader Here's something you don't see every day: a genial, politically correct splatter comedy. Jan 4, 2012 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com Clever horror/comedy hybrid of the kind that Sam Raimi used to make and that so many have tried to produce in recent years but have fallen remarkably flat. There's nothing flat about this clever genre flick. For the right audience, it's pretty great. Rated: 4.0/5.0 Oct 7, 2011 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review What lasts throughout is the comic chemistry between Labine and Tudyk, who make these not-so-stupid characters into a lovable duo that should have their own series of films. Rated: 3.5/4 Mar 9, 2023 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Even folks who generally shy away from gorefests should appreciate the dark humor, surprising plot pirouettes, and, most shockingly, developed characterizations in Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Rated: 3/4 Feb 15, 2023 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies It pokes fun at every splatter movie cliché and gimmick you can imagine while also packaging in a load of genuinely funny dialogue and hilarious gags. Kim P Why is it a 9 out of 10 star rating? Because they took a "low budget" movie and made a great satire out of it. Redneck stereotyping? Brilliant. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/18/24 Full Review Audience Member haha this movie rocks! a crazy misundertanding leads to gore and hilarity and its so much fun how it pokes fun at the slasher genre in the process Katrina Bowden is at her hottest and believe it or not this movie makes a statement about the stereotypes we fall into and are so quick to judge never really know what kind of people mix and who doesnt I got a few chuckles here and there but Im sure alot of other people will get a bigger kick out of this from all the hijinks 'Tucker & Dale' is a real kicker Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/14/24 Full Review Andy K Absolutely brilliant movie! A definite must-see for horror fans. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review Beverly P Alan Tudyke and Tyler Labine give incredible performances in this hilarious horror/comedy. Playing two best friends who end up having a doozy of a day! They entertain throughout. Just sit back, grab a snack and enjoy! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/06/24 Full Review Mason M Tucker and Dale vs Evil isn't the best or most sophisticated film, but it's a fun and well done criticism of slasher films. The thing that this film did best at was definitely the dialogue between the college kids, it nails the badly written dialogue. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Philip C Great movie, but my only problem with it was that Chad (Jesse Moss) looked too much like Justin Trudeau! Upended all the usual tropes.
