Ruth Batchelor Los Angeles Free Press The humor is sophomoric and very much like a shoot off of NBC's Saturday Night show. Audience Member **ATTENTION: This movie is reviewing the 1976 movie concerning network television parody. A lot of the movie details, pictures and credits that this website has for the movie is for a modern action/suspense production. Not sure who can change this. ** This movie feels like it should be funny and you can tell that it is trying. At the end of the day a lot of the gags seem to have no payoff. This production really needed a good comedy writer who knew how to craft a joke. This being said it's worth a viewing IF you are a fan of this generation of comedians. (Though not a good example of their best work.) Howard Hessman and Chevy Chase are just a few of the actors that would be recognizable to fans of this generation. So it might be interesting to you as a journey into the past and/or pop culture history. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty damn funny, easily rivals Kentucky Fried Movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Not politically correct (especially today, although no race, creed, color, or gender is spared). Fans of SNL, Second City or Firesign Theatre will enjoy. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Where is the 1976 version of this title? A rough gross comedy. The movie poster had an eye peeking out between a woman's lips. That was not a bad movie. The Rotten Tomatoes guys are fucked up on this one. They have it crossed with a shitty Aussie murder movie. zzzz Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A bit funny. A bit racist. A some is just unfunny crudeness. Well it's amusing, and an interesting look at future TV. Some of it has come true, most of it, thank god, hasn't. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Not quite up there w/ The Groove Tube and Kentucy Fried Movie, but servicable.
