Audience Member another winner from the tramp Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Review of several Chaplin films coming to themoviefreakblog.com on 9/15 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member The first film written and directed by Charlie Chaplin. He got a lot better. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Twenty Minutes of Love was Chaplin's first written and directed movie and in a way, it shows. It shows early traces of his trademark ingenuity, but it's still in it's primitive and crude stages, i.e. not fully realized. Twenty Minutes of Love is another one of Charlie's less impressive shorts, but still manages to be thoroughly enjoyable and amusing due to Charlie's impeccably brilliant charm and unique comedic stylings. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member This short is impressive for the way it weaves in such a variety of individuals into its story, all building to a riotous conclusion at a pond. Chaplin has a number of great physical moments here as he tries to win the heart of a girl away from another. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member A simple situation mostly using a park bench, but it a wonderful piece of early cinema. Chaplin has great timing, essential in an era without sound. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
