André Bazin L'Obs (France) This pure masterpiece... proves once again that the Italian cinema has managed to discover a new relationship between the realistic calling of film and the eternal demands of dramatic poetry. Jun 13, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A young man and a young woman from a small Italian village fall in love but due to the fact of their respective social statuses and the fact that marrying for money is a common practice, circumstances always pull them apart. This film feels like an Italian neorealist film with a sense of humor. There are some really funny scenes here and I'm not sure but it seems to be parodying Italian neorealist films as well. It didn't blow me away but it's a really fun little slice-of-life, fluffy film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
