Audience Member Somewhere buried under a winter wonderland was a pretty good script and idea for a story but the production value and direction is sooo lousy that it makes it really hard to enjoy this black comedy horror hybrid that uses every single possible Christmas pun ever imagined. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I love the premise and the component parts of the overall movie, but something about it just kind of felt flat to me. The entire time I was watching this movie, I kept feeling like I should be enjoying this, but even in the world of bad movies, its just kind of mediocre. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Super low budget Christmas horror flick that is shot on a cheap camcorder and also features some animated segments that make the show Home Movies look like Fantasia. On Christmas eve the main character's wife is having an affair only to have it broken up by homicidal elves. The husband comes home and the unhappy couple go on an all night adventure battling all sorts of random holiday rejects. At first you'll be like this film is absolutely horrible and then about half through it starts to grow on you but it's too late. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Somewhere buried under a winter wonderland was a pretty good script and idea for a story but the production value and direction is sooo lousy that it makes it really hard to enjoy this black comedy horror hybrid that uses every single possible Christmas pun ever imagined. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Do not expect to see anything original or at least scary in this movie. It is a very amateurish attempt at film making. It was such an abysmal film, I did not know whether to laugh or cry while watching this film. (I was laughing and crying at all the wrong reasons!) My first urge was to walk out. But I didn't. I will watch a film entirely to give an objective review. This one I was sorry I stayed. I usually can take bad direction, but bad acting as well? I could not wait for this movie to end. I think it was suppose to be a comedy, but there was nothing funny about it. The writer and director blatantly steals scenes from several "bad" movies such as "Evil Dead" and "The Toxic Avenger". I know those movies were not great, but at least they were original. The only positive thing I can say about this film is the cinematography; it was shot well. My only advice to the director is, Don't quit your day job. (And if your day job is directing - go to the post office, they are hiring!) Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
