God damn it, no one humiliates people for their appearances at such mass level. Also, director stoops to new low by making a mockery of hindu cultures. Bollywood has always been a support in doing so and so did this movie director. Pundits charge money to twist ur kundlis, havan is nothing but smoke to make u cough. See more 01/19/2020 Let's start with the good. Maanvi Gagroo was a breath of fresh air in a movie that desperately needed it. She's lovely and convincing as both vulnerable and strong. The Punjabi parents, while playing Bollywood's favorite cliche, are all wonderful actors who walk away with the best lines. The low point is Sunny Singh with a single vaguely irritated expression on his face the whole film. His character has no arc till the final 15 minutes of the film, when the epiphanies are piled up as quickly as possible. Minus the baldness, Dum Lagaa Ke Haisha tackled a similar subject with infinitely more charm. Ujda Chaman has a good premise, let down by a dull leading man. See more 01/16/2020 Addresses a difficult situation prevailing in the society. Certain plots in the film may seem stereotypical but alas, they are true. The acting is good and the movie becomes a bit too difficult to watch at the end because of the sad realities that do exist in the society.
