This is France in the 1980's and the film involves a married couple who hate each other but cannot find a way of separating, and both are willing to resort to murder. A wonderful blend of top French actors, a tight script, good comedy and mixed with drama. Most of the good stuff happens from halfway through the film when Jojo meets a famous lawyer who convinces him that he could get away with murder if it was a "crime of passion" and then it is a case of who can who first, and the final scenes in the courtroom left me in stitches. This is an olden type French comedy more on the lines of "Dinner De Con" (same director) and "The Closet", and sadly on my copy the picture quality was poor, but I will watch it again soon as it was that good! Rated 1.5/5 Stars •  Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Le film ne démarre vraiment pas bien, avec Balasko qui en fait trois remorques, mais le talent de Guitry étant ce qu'il est, la seule séquence magistrale entre l'avocat et "Jojo" dans son cabinet conserve tout son humour et son mordant. Pour le reste, je ne vais pas trop "cracher dans la soupe" (même au potiron), ça reste honnête sans plus, mais quand même meilleur que les "films des années 50 estampillés 90's" de Jean Becker...
