Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter 12/07/2015
Failing to live up to it anarchic convictions by adding sympathetic aspects to its central character shortly before the conclusion, Uncle Nick, much like the sorts of holiday celebrations it depicts, is ultimately too strained to be enjoyable. Go to Full Review

Having to spend time with any of these characters would be nobody's idea of fun. Go to Full Review

The unifying twist is the sort of thing meant to impress a screenwriting workshop instructor, while the action leading up to it toggles between gross physical humor and imagery and in-your-face personal dysfunction. Go to Full Review

It certainly is a funnier holiday film than most holiday films. Go to Full Review

Uncle Nick isn't as off-putting as its disgruntled lead, but unbalanced dark humor and disturbed storytelling don't do much for this alternative holiday disaster. Go to Full Review

Phillip D @phildub Jun 1 I added this to my watch list because it was Christmas time & I recognized Brian Posehn‘s name. 6 months later I put it on because I wanted something funny & different. This sure did fit. I’ve been a fan of Brian’s for years based on standup. Nice to see him in a movie. This was well written & the way the Indian’s game wove in was executed very well by the director. Nice to get a break from the cookie cutter style. See more Zarin p 12/17/2024 What a dumb movie. Not recommended to anyone. Just watched at amazon freevee. Some critics recommend it witch is really out of consequence what will happen in this fiction to all family. Its like a z movie. No taste. They trying to make like bad santa version or uncle buck version. Really stupid. But nice girl Valerie. See more Courtney K @c0urtn3y 12/08/2024 there's a few funny quips, but it's mostly depressing & boring. See more 12/07/2024 Christmas movie for those of us who aren't living "the dream" but their siblings are! See more 12/06/2020 Disturbing and one of the worse Christmas movies ever. If anyone finds it funny to seduce their step niece then I'd be worried for their safety around young people generally. Why make comedy about such a disgusting subject, just yuk. See more 11/15/2017 This is not the best film ever, but thats not what its trying to be, its just a fun, silly and amusing xmas film. I really enjoyed it! The film is made up of lots of little things that remind you of parties or xmas days you had in the past. Grab a couple of whiskies, put on the fire, switch your braid off and have a little chuckle for an hour See more Read all reviews
