John Monaghan Detroit Free Press Sometimes fuzzy in structure, the movie is also uncompromisingly realistic, taking us into Tehran offices and factories and onto construction sites. Audience Member A really harsh portrayal of Iranian city life, but a good one nonetheless. It's really quite depressing, albeit beautiful. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member A great casting light on some feministic issues facing woman, mothers and families ultimately - from the perspective of one woman and her family. It is a great portrayal of the strength of these woman and their continual suffering – in a coherent, complete and conclusive style that merits Rakhshan Bani Etemad an award for film making better than most her male counterparts in comparison to other films on other social phenomena’s. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member just as relevant today as it was in 2003. my favorite Forutan movie so far... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Persian cinema has a knack for maintaining a heightened tension, a la The Bicycle Thief, and this film is the perfect example. Well worth a viewing.
