Leaves you thinking... Q+A at the end of our showing. Highly recommend and loved the director and producer!!!! A worthy film to support Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Arthur S Underdog is a marvelous, uplifting experience. Although it depicts the very hard life of a small New England farmer, he is so upbeat and full of life that he brings you joy. And when achieves his lifetime goal, we all rejoiced with him. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review Susan O This movie captures the strength of family ties to generations of farm ownership and the tremendous difficulties encountered in keeping the farm. Add in a dream outside of farming and you have a poignant and very real take on one optimistic man's life. I really enjoyed the film. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/11/24 Full Review John H Underdog is a wonderful celebration of Doug Butler, a Vermont dairy farmer with a very big personality and his huge dreams of racing his dogs in Alaska's famed Iditarod. The low-budget documentary is heart-felt, heart-breaking, and heart-melting all at once. This independent film shows the daily struggles of farming and how truly hard it is to keep a farm alive in this modern economy; the audience experiences birth and the sad death of farm animals, and the joy of the palpable love between Butler and his dogs. I will forever hold the images of Doug kissing his dogs, and them loving him back. His exuberance for life is infectious and spills over the hardships he faces daily.
