Michel (Gérard Jugnot) has worked for years as an executive at a company that sells mattresses. He lives quietly in the suburbs with his wife (Victoria Abril) and their children. One day everything changes when Michel is fired and his secure lifestyle rapidly deteriorates. Spurned by his wife, Michel is forced to survive on the street. But when some other homeless individuals befriend him and offer guidance, he suspects that his definition of success has been wrong all along.
