      Reviews In 1925, Capt. Petre Dumitriu (George Constantin), his wife, Marie-Therese (Kristin Scott Thomas), and their three children are assigned to a remote town along Romania's border with Bulgaria. When rebellious locals kill his fellow soldiers, Petre arrests eight peasants as retaliation, holding them at his house while awaiting further instructions.
