It takes a different direction from the original, which is refreshing, and the screenlife format is used in some clever ways that keep things tense. However, the film doesn’t fully capitalize on its premise. While the concept is intriguing, the execution can feel uneven, with some moments hitting hard and others falling flat. The characters are serviceable, but not all of them leave a strong impression, which makes it harder to stay fully invested. It’s still a solid watch if you enjoy the style and suspense, but it doesn’t quite reach its full potential. Overall, I’d call it a mixed sequel that works in parts. I rate it a 6/10. Of course it was made later, so there was the opportunity to have better tech. I recommend it...and you don't have to even see the first one to appreciate this one.
