Really dry, but totally hilarious spoof of the slasher genre, Friday the 13th specifically. It's too bad this wasn't more widely seen, as it's much more sophisticated and funny than anything the Wayans brothers brought to the table. Who knew Jason could actually talk the whole time, and was just yearning for love...

FANTASTIC satire of slasher films, more specifically the Friday the 13th series. It still contains gore, nudity and sex, comedy and yet, it's rather classy.

amazing, the second best film of all time.the film uses music, comedy, horror, gore and just pure characters to craft a sad, surreal, funny, entertaining, slasher, horror comedy. on one level, it is a funny, well crafted comedy about a mad slasher who loses his will to kill, after meeting a blind woman named shelly. he confronts his father, who tells him that killing is in his blood. he then returns to spend time with shelly. what happens next must be seen to be believed. all i can tell you is it is one of the funniest love/sex scenes ever to be put to film. our slasher then must leave shelly to kill her friends at a party, because the inhuman side of him must keep killing. after that he returns to shelly, to find that she is pregnant, he then slashes her throat to stop an innocent child from having to live the life of a monster. he walks out on the house, without saying a word, when he breaks down on the sidewalk and starts to scream in anger, as the camera pans out to show a movie theater sign showing that a sequel to the movies based around his killings is being played, showing that no matter what, the killing will all ways go on. on the second level of this film, it is a sad, but well done romantic horror film, with well done scenes between shelly and our slasher, and well done gore effects. this should not be missed by anybody, 10 out of 10

Unmasked Part 25 is a clever and hilarious British film that serves as a satire of slasher movies, particularly the Friday the 13th franchise about Jackson, a vision serial killer (equipped with a hockey mask) goes about brutally killing a group of party goers inside his house until he connects with the last survivor, a kindly blind woman named Shelly who quickly falls for Jackson. As a result, Jackson opens up and starts a relationship with her, keeping his notorious deeds a secret, as the two engage in romantic comedy-style moments that are laugh-out-loud HILARIOUS!. Thinks start to sour though when Jackson's serial killer father tells him he can never change who he is, and things get worse when Jackson resumes his killings on another batch of Shelly's friends. This shamelessly hidden gem of a film is a terrific watch and really does for slasher movies what Shaun of the Dead did for zombie movies, only many, many years earlier. Methinks this film was way ahead of its time in 1988, which could be the reason why it goes virtually unknown by the horror fan public, destined to dwell in VHS obscurity. This film DESPERATELY needs to make that leap onto DVD to be re-discovered by fans of horror and comedy. There's loads of gore and blood spilled amongst a decent body count, and some nice nude scenes to boot. Overall, a real gem. I implore any and all to seek this movie out if they can. Terrific film.
