Sheila Johnston London Evening Standard Saucereyed and hedgehog-haired, Brittany Murphy thinks, wrongly, that she is adorably kooky as the party girl. J M This movie has a lot of heart and emotion, so it’s going to go over some people’s heads. Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning are an irresistibly charming duo in this underrated classic. Me fascinó, bye. 🩷♾️✨ Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/09/25 Full Review Nim T I was interested in watching the movie due to nostalgia of Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning. As a child actress, Dakota Fanning had a lot of roles that felt it was meant for her to act. In this one, she played a child that was also acting as an adult due to the lack of love she has from family. Brittany Murphy was an adult but acted as a child because she did not know what to do within her life. The movie is more of a drama than comedy because it highlights transitions that shaped Murphy's character and it felt as if reincarnation happened. The plot felt obvious, which I will give critics for that reason, but nevertheless the audiences still liked it because of how it resonated with them. It is also a way to remember Brittany Murphy's acting, despite being short lived, it is still memorable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/07/25 Full Review Danielle G Very underrated here. I watched this movie growing up and loved it, revisited it now and it's still a favorite. It deep, it'll pull at your heartstrings. Great acting.
