isla s 09/02/2022 This is a quite sweet and somewhat charming film about a group of kids/teens in Greece, in the 1960s. At one point, I found myself thinking it reminded me (if but very slightly) of a not quite so family friendly Cinema Paradiso but thats mostly because the scene was, indeed, set in a cinema and its Greek, not Italian but all the same... this is a coming of age film with some nice instances of comedy. It does feature some swearing and sex references but I wouldn't say its overly offensive. Its quite a pleasant watch for the most part, with cheeky yet charming (though no doubt naive) characters. I would recommend this film, yes. It is a bit cheesy and silly even, with some scenes featuring the adolescents gawping at the local titular character, a local prostitute, very much open mouthed in an almost comic book kind of a way but it is undoubtedly amusing and entertaining regardless.
