Bhuvanesh Chandar The Hindu Veera Dheera Sooran is what fans of Vikram have longed for, but it isn’t just for them. It’s a grand spicy meal at a muniyandi vilas in Madurai. All meat lovers are welcome here. Mar 28, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Ansi 1st half racy and lagging 2nd half, too much violence Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/02/25 Full Review Saitama Entertaining movie with good songs and great script ! Incredible performance from vikram. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/28/25 Full Review G k Soo good it's blockbuster Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/03/25 Full Review arvind s I am glad that we got Veera Dheera Sooran this week. After the atrocity of Salman's Sikandar, there was definitely a need for a movie to undo all that. Arunkumar's latest has a stacked cast in Vikram, Dushara Vijayan, S J Suryah & Suraj Venjaramoodu; all of whom are brilliant in their respective roles. Set in Madurai, Periyavar's son, Kannan is accessed of killing a woman and her daughter. The police has been attempting to arrest both father and son for some time now and they feel this is the perfect opportunity. Periyavar reaches out his old employee, Kaali to save them despite past differences. What ensues is a cat and mouse game all set in one night. Suraj makes his Tamil language debut in this film and he plays it with the right amount of malice. He fits right in and as a fan I would love to see him in similar roles. S J Suryah tones down his maniacal nature from his past movies to give us a cunning cop character. Dushara Vijayan who plays Kalai, Kaali's wife manages to standout yet again despite the limited screentime. And finally Vikram as Kaali is him at his best. The passion and ferocity that he brings to Kaali is unparalleled. A special shoutout to Balaji S U who played Venkat. The makers have done a brilliant job at pacing the movie given the entire story happens over the course of one night. I did wish they had amped up the tension given the premise. But I loved the gritty performances and the action choreography. It will be interesting to see what the makers have in store for us in the prequel that is yet to be shot. Definitely one of the better Tamil movies of the year. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/02/25 Full Review Harish N "Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2" is a film that impresses with its visual grandeur and Vikram's captivating performance, but ultimately falls short due to a messy and disjointed storyline. While the film delivers moments of cinematic brilliance, its narrative inconsistencies and lack of proper flow prevent it from being a truly satisfying experience. Vikram shines as the lead, delivering an amazing performance that showcases his versatility and commanding screen presence. His portrayal of the character is both powerful and captivating, elevating the film's overall impact. The cinematography is a major highlight, with stunning visuals that capture the film's epic scale and scope. The film's musical score is equally impressive, adding to the atmosphere and enhancing the emotional moments. However, the film's narrative struggles to maintain a cohesive flow. The plot feels convoluted and lacks a clear sense of direction, making it difficult to fully engage with the story or connect with the characters. The pacing is uneven, with some scenes feeling rushed while others drag on unnecessarily. Despite its flaws, "Veera Dheera Sooran Part 2" is a watchable film, primarily due to Vikram's stellar performance and its impressive visual and musical elements. However, its messy and disjointed storyline prevents it from being a truly memorable or impactful cinematic experience. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/28/25 Full Review Read all reviews
