Birithivy Y Veeran - 7/10. There's a beautiful and poignant scene where a young girl who can't walk begins to be able to walk because of her belief in Veeran (the deity/superhero played by HipHop Tamizha). That meeting scene is the best part of this whole movie, which sadly squanders a very good idea of a movie and throws in your traditional tamil cinema tropes. Had this movie focused on the hope and inspiration this hero gives to the village, it could've been a great movie. But outside of a noble attempt of something new, this is an okay movie that has some good moments. Definitely Tamizha's best role in a while.
