See more 12/18/2010 Silly and entertaining for the whole family, "Veggie Tales: Saint Nicholas: A Story of Joyful Giving" is an animated feature presenting the supposed true origins of Santa Claus. While some aspects of the story deviate from historical accuracy, it does have more of a Christian message than most other Christmas-themed children's programs. Purists may not prefer this creative reinterpretation, but it's goal is to introduce young children to the Christian roots of Santa Claus--who has seemingly become a secular icon of the holidays. Veggie Tales movies are only "based" on the actual story so expect some narrative license with a touch of slapstick comedy. See more Read all reviews
