Seasoned outdoorsman Fred (Nicolas Giraud) leads his girlfriend, Karine (Maud Wyler), and three other vacationing acquaintances up a treacherous mountain trail in Eastern Europe. They face both natural perils -- a flimsy bridge over a plunging ravine -- and human ones: A woman in the group is accompanied by both her current and former boyfriends. But as their numbers dwindle, the group realizes it faces an even greater danger -- someone else on the mountain who does not like interlopers.

Audience Member I thought this movie was great! I saw it on Shudder. I would have preferred to watch it in French but unfortunately I had to settle for the dubbed version. It didn't really matter though because the rock climbing and bridge scenes had me on the edge of my seat. I thought the action was really good, decent acting and the cinematography was divine. One of the top ten horror/thrillers I've seen this year and there's been plenty. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member High Lane (Original French title: Vertige) is a 2009 French horror film directed by Abel Ferry. The film centers around a group of friends who are hunted by a mentally deranged serial killer while climbing a dangerous trail up in the mountains. First of all why would you bring someone who is frighten of heights? Yes sure mountain climbing is such an exciting and adventurous outdoor experience but man it's not worth it of your life. Secondly the cinematography and camera angle shots are very bad and done poorly. Thirdly the actors was just bad as the movie, it's very chaotic and for the effects well its good enough. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member final merda não faz sentido horroroso Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member by no means is this a 'gorefest.' but it was pretty good. me being afraid of heights helped. :s Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member "High Lane" completely falls apart, even in its end credits which state over 3,200 people have gone missing in this area, presumably all tracked down by cannibals or checked into the wrong hostel.  Still, for a while there Massart's camerawork may have you wondering just how he got some of those incredible high wire shots. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Be sure to watch where you step. A group of mountain climbing friends get together. The friends include some exs that leads to some personal drama during the adventure, but not too bad. The climb is tougher than they expected leading to some minor injuries that slow the group down. Things really get bogged down when someone on the mountain starts hunting them. "Nothing is secure." Abel Ferry delivers High Lane in his directorial debut. The storyline for this picture is fairly straightforward and kind of like a worse Wrong Turn. The action was pretty good but not elite and the acting was below average. "Someone's there." This is another Netflix film that was recommended to me and I added to the queue. This was a fairly cliché slasher movie in the woods. There wasn't much new here and only gets two stars due to some good kill scenes. "Things get easier from here." Grade: C- Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
