Audience Member "While working at the Canadian National Film Board, Arthur Lipsett collected pieces of sound and put them together. When he played the finished product for some friends they suggested putting images to the sound and he set about doing that. This film is the result." - IMDB Trivia Section Audiovisual galore, Canadian filmmaker Arthur Lipsett understood the power of celluloid as precisely that: an audiovisual tool. Very Nice, Very Nice is an energetic pool of juxtaposed images, music, documentary voices and video footage, all dancing at the rhythm of cinematic pace. The result is an absolutely invigorating and technically influential collage of random thoughts, ideas, manifestations, statements and publicity vignettes to mirror the mottos and senseless velocity of a society plagued and impacted by so many cultural exchanges and telecommunications brainwashing. The editing techniques are landmark, and could be appreciated in Svankmajer's statements afterwards. 99/100 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Canadian Avand-Garde.
