Childhood buddies who grew up together in Copenhagen, Denmark, Jimmy (Mads Mikkelsen) and Ossy (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) have drifted apart in adulthood. Jimmy now lives in Iceland with his wife, Anna (Palina Jonsdottir) and their child, leading a normal, quiet existence. However, that peace is broken when Ossy arrives without warning, bringing trouble with him. Soon the ruthless Ossy ropes Jimmy back into shady dealings, jeopardizing his hard-won family life.

R 9 Mads Mikkelsen + Nikolaj Coster-Waldau? I couldn't have picked a better duo! Those two very much keep 'Wildside' up and running throughout with some strong performances. It's not that it's a badly made or written flick or anything, but some parts of the story did bug me while watching - the bits with Egill Ólafsson's Stefán, in particular. When all is said and done, however, it's a positive watch... there's a neat end sunset scene in there, even as cliché as the use of it is.
