adam b I can see why Taylor Sheridan doesn't consider this his directorial debut. Absolutely astonishing Sheridan directed a film this bad. People are forced to torture each other to produce chemicals that's extracted from their brains, like this sounds like something QAnon would think up. Literally watching people aimlessly torturing each other the entire runtime was pretty unsatisfactory. People that actually enjoy this really need psychiatric help Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie has a great basis for some good ol fashioned torture and gore, but there are a lot of missteps in this movie the plot is loose and the backstory on why this designer drug is in demand and how they are used once they are created and sold. With this being said a deeper backstory could have created a much better backdrop for our main characters and their deathly journey through this house. Overall the movie kept me entertained and I thought the cast was well chosen, no one stole the spotlight, but the acting was more than tolerable. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Okay so this movie is actually really good, with the exception of the atrocious ending. So basically, he tries to save his friend, who appears to still be alive, but then just leaves him there. Then he also leaves his pregnant gurl behind instead of finding a way to get her out, or at least calling the cops. Absolutely ridiculous! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I think the movie had a lot of potential, but the characters where stupid, the audio wasn't too good and the ending was really dumb. I would give it 2.5 stars, but I'm adding an extra 1.5 for that feminist joke in the beginning (23:52) Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a good concept for a movie. It just could have been done better. They don't show some of the torture that you will kind of wish you had seen if you watch Vile. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Did not even get through the full movie. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the start of the torturing part of the movie. The makers of this film should have done a MUCH better job and thought a little harder about making the Black man be the one to offer up himself at the start. Not only that, but he was beat for an HOUR by all of these white people. AND THEN they proceed to be like "okay what now?" And then they proceed to say Oh I know something will generate MORE pain, we can rip something out. I do not appreciate the exploration of this Black man at the very beginning of the film. Do better.
