Audience Member The MST 3K version is absolutely hilarious. To think this movie was actually made at the the same time that 2001 a space Odyssey was made is incredible. It simply goes to show that the 1960s is one of the worst eras in film history. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review martin a To be honest, this film is just awful, full of 60s dancing and semi-clad women, and nothing else really1 It took 44 minutes of the film before the giants even appeared and by then I had lost all interest. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review dave p Flashback kind of movie with many child actors of the day. Fun to watch but not too seriously! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Super cheesy, stupid lines, simple plot. Was fun watching it with Svengoolie narrating. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Astoundingly bad! Far too much Go-Go dancing, random singing, and that's on top poor plot and mediocre acting. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member A goofy science fiction flick that has some dry acting despite the appearances of Ron Howard and Beau Bridges. The corny effects, the 60s rock, the surfer sensibilities, and the giant delinquent themes is a simple escape. A fun movie not to be taken seriously. Dennis Harvey 48 Hills A novel entry in the teensploitation genre then dominated by Gidget and Beach Party movies, Village is so dumb it hurts, but therein lies the charm... the film seems like a last gasp of old-school innocence. Feb 24, 2022 Full Review Sarah Boslaugh PopMatters I'm certainly not going to try to claim that Gordon's 1965 film is any good, but it's such a mash-up of genres.. that you'd have to be a real grouch to not find some fun in it.
