With her marriage about to implode, Miriam returns to her hometown to seek solace in the comfort of her younger sister and brother-in-law. But one evening a tiny slip in judgement leads to a catastrophic betrayal, leaving Miriam shocked, reeling, and furious. Believing her only recourse is to exact revenge, Miriam takes extreme action, but the price of retribution is high, and she is not prepared for the toll it takes as she begins to emotionally and psychologically unravel.

Undeniably well made film. You may not like it. It may be too much for you. But the rawness and the excessive use of soft-core porn was necessary to show the power of violation. Predator and prey themes throughout; Fox and rabbit, spider and fly, woman and man… (interestingly, the main character who was violated tells her husband not to kill the spider while she’s planning her revenge on man.)

The soft porn was a-bit unnecessary, trying too hard to be edgy & it doesn't even impact the story in any way. Way too many unanswered questions, and the story direction leads you to a very frustrating dead end. Sometimes being overly artsy just isn't the answer.
