Phuong Le Guardian While the intense emotion and slow pace are not everyone's cup of tea, especially those unfamiliar with the series, the romanticism is done exceptionally well, and with unabashed sincerity. Mark C Epic, gorgeous, swirling, heartbreaking, romantic climax to the "Violet Evergarden" saga. The girl whose superpower is expressing deperate people's complicated emotions through prose, so just don't go in expecting Detroit smashes or Water style samurai sword swings. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/23/21 Full Review Vanessa So beautiful and great animation with such an emotional story. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/21 Full Review Chris_1234 I'm so glad I was able to catch it theaters! After the movie's release was delayed in 2020, I've done my best to wait patiently, and the wait was worth it! The Violet Evergarden was a nice way to cap the series, and I should've brought tissues. Kyoto Animation studio does it again! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/21 Full Review Jeff S A nearly perfect end to an amazing series. It does seem to ignore the prior film Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll, but not in a way that hurts anything. Also they never explain the mystery client from the end of episode 13 of the main series. Aside from those 2 complaints, everything wrapped up nicely. An obvious slam dunk must see for anyone who loved the series. Just make sure to bring tissues. In true Violet Evergarden tradition this one pulls no punches. If you don't cry you're made of stone. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/08/21 Full Review Richard T Well crafted closure to one of the best tear jerking anime series ever Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/07/21 Full Review Lulu Thank you for everything Violet Evergarden. Thank you for everyone at Kyoto animation. In memory of those whos past away. I thank you as well. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/06/21 Full Review Read all reviews
