Befitting its subject, the documentary "Wait for Your Laugh" is a breezy and engaging whirlwind trip through the crowded life of a performer who pretty much embodies the show-business term "trouper." Go to Full Review

08/16/2020 A fittingly loving tribute to a hardworking and classic talent, with a career that was as expansive as it was under-remembered. Still, there's a good bit of old-Hollywood arrogance that's hard to shake. It feels like everyone involved here is too close to here to call her what she could clearly often be: an entitled Hollywood Karen. Nonetheless, it's mildly diverting…and the Dick Van Dyke section is wonderful. See more 11/08/2018 Befitting film for an underappreciated legend. See more 09/22/2018 Wonderful documentary on a truly amazing talent Rose Marie, She narrates a good part of the film herself, in that unmistakable voice, beginning with her fame as a 4-year-old singer, and her multi-talents taking her into so many entertainment outlets, wanting to work till her passing in late 2017 at the age of 94. The movie has many surprises to offer and I found it all quite fascinating. The one minor criticism I have is that the director, Jason Wise, used some recreations of events in Rose Marie's life and that came across to me as rather gimmicky. But the actual film footage and still photos depicting her remarkable journey, interwoven with Rose Marie's and other interviewees comments, were extraordinary. All in all, a highly engaging and entertaining film. See more 02/04/2018 Beautiful told in her own words. An engaging story of an amazing career and life.
