Peter Marshall
Peter Marshall worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Black Jack" (1971) starring Georg Stanford Brown, "Ensign Pulver" (1964) and "The 49th Man" (1953) starring John Ireland. He also contributed to "The Lucy Show" (CBS, 1962-68), "The Raging Moon" (1970) starring Malcolm McDowell and "Wild in the Sky" with Brandon De Wilde (1972). Marshall was nominated for an Outstanding Achievement In Daytime Programming Primetime Emmy Award for "The Hollywood Squares" in 1972 as well as for an Outstanding Achievement By Individuals In Daytime Primetime Emmy Award for "The Hollywood Squares" in 1973. He kept working in film throughout the seventies and the nineties, starring in "Americathon" (1979) with Peter Riegert, the Albert Finney musical "Annie" (1982) and the drama "Women in Tropical Places" (1990) with Alison Doody. He also appeared in "Doombeach" (1990). Recently, he tackled roles in the comedy "The Last Dance" (1993) with Helena Bergstom, "Little Voice" (1998) with Brenda Blethyn and "Teddy Bear's Picnic" (2002) with Howard Hesseman. Marshall most recently appeared on "The 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards" (CBS, 2010-11). Peter Marshall died on August 15, 2024 in Encino, CA at the age of 98.
