Samuel L Nov 30 This is a near unwatchable piece of garbage that disgraces the name of the original series. Although the film visually looks great, with CGI dinosaurs almost flawlessly composited into a real-life landscape, there is nothing else good to take away from this excuse of a film. Apparently, there were big production issues, and the original film company filed for bankruptcy, being bought out by 20th Century Fox, who added trashy dialogue over the top of impressive animation with actual effort put into it. Before the production trouble, the original company were going to show dinosaurs as how they would have actually lived back in the Cretaceous period, acting like animals with no annoying dialogue, but of course, all that effort had to be destroyed by a larger company. All in all, Walking With Dinosaurs, dinosaur in general, anything that Tim Haines has made, or good movies, don't watch Walking With Dinosaurs 3-D. If I could give this zero stars, I would. People who critique this movie for features obviously geared towards its child audience are miserable and allergic to perspectives and ideas that differ from their own. It has a humorous tone to keep kids engaged, the main protagonists display good characteristics/behaviors, and while it is not rooted in being educational, the fun facts dispersed throughout are age appropriate and interesting even as an adult. See more Christopher A Jul 11 I remember watching this in the theater as a kid and thinking the movie was amazing. Now that I have given the movie a second watch, my opinion on it has changed. I personally think that CGI is still great and the story of a Pachyrhinosaurus life is interesting but my only 2 complaint would be are that the constant dialogue of the main character is too much and even the secondary characters have so really flat line deliveris. There are some lines in the movie that I liked, especially twords the second half of the film. At points them movie did feel rushed but at its time it felt very evenly paced. Finally the paleo accuracy is at some points out dated but as I mentioned before it was great at its time. Overall I did very much enjoyed this film as a kid and even now as an adult. This movie is a great way to teach children about dinosaurs.
