      What to know

      Critics Consensus

It isn't always as funny as it should be, but Wanderlust benefits from an extremely talented cast and some of David Wain's most confident, assured work behind the camera. Read critic reviews

George (Paul Rudd) and Linda (Jennifer Aniston) have overextended, overstressed lives in Manhattan. After George loses his job, he and Linda have little choice but to move to Atlanta and stay with his terrible brother. On the way, the couple happen upon Elysium, an idyllic counterculture community, where money, careers and clothing are strictly optional. George and Linda think that they can make a fresh start in Elysium, only they may be trading one set of problems for another.

Highly predictable, crass comedy from the mind of Judd Apatow. Three stars, but reluctantly, as about the only character I found I could like was Linda, played by Jennifer Aniston. Very few moments that I would actually describe as funny. I liked it, but only a little bit.

Another movie with a wasted concept filled with predictable and dull jokes and Rudd and Aniston seemingly phoning it all in. The only highlight is Theroux as the community leader, clearly exemplifying the fact he should have consulted on the screenplay to give this some actual humour.

"Wanderlust" is exactly what the title suggests -- it wanders with its narrative with very little punchlines or humor to make it memorable. Paul Rudd is always good and always entertaining to watch, but with the lackluster script and boring plotline, "Wanderlust" is a pass altogether.
