      Audience Member The reconstructed history was well expressed around the characters. But boredom is inevitable. The constant cutting back and forth from the past to the present is disorientating, and coupled with a revisionist history during the movie, gets confusing. The movie introduces a fictional character as well - General Xin - to further dramatize the event. Director Chuan Lu's non-linear storytelling is quite effective and presents a deep, multi-layered story that is both intelligent and entertaining.
