Yasmine K ice cube is not credible as a tech genius : slow talking , monotone phrase pace ....he just was not the best pick for the role. all his acting and delivery were slow . the whole movie was difficult to watch. I am sick of the modern Americanised (No offence) remakes. The whole point of it being set in Victorian England was because the Martians were so massively superior in technology. So far we have 4 American remakes if you include Independence Day, the only person who ever stayed faithful was Jeff Wayne. The Tom Cruise one was close. If they didn't use the title "War of the Worlds" then this rubbish wouldn't be so irritating. It feels like it was written by a 14 year old after far too many packets of Skittles washed down with Mountain Dew. I can’t accept that by labelling it Science Fiction, you can completely disregard any sense of time line or plot maturity. Let’s all hope that should the earth be invaded, it’s all over as quickly as this film eludes to. Hopefully I will have slept through it.
