For those of you who go to see Warren Miller's film every year, will be disappointed with this year's 64th ski film. The entire movie plays like a TV commercial spliced with GoPro shots, which were the best part albeit the most blatant product placement as it seems the company was a major sponsor. Most of the segments were rushed and uncreative, while a couple were outright stupid and forced. Maybe the most disappointing piece of this janky puzzle was the music selection. Completely irrelevant songs laced the sports-action cinematography, and where Miler's subsequent flicks left me feeling energized and motivated, Ticket to Ride made me irritable and gassy. OK, maybe the wings had something to do with that, but as the venue's buffalo recipe stole the show, I will always remember Warren Miller's 64th as the winter I found my own modivation to get to the slopes. I'll probably take my GoPro, though, so there's a win.
