Jacob B This short film from 2017 that was just hanging around on Disney+ seems like a good choice for schools, provided they can handle a few F-words. I'm serious, I think it's an ideal choice to spark discussion amongst students since, in my view, this short could be seen as analogous to living with a disability that you weren't born with as well as coping with amnesia. But I'm not a teacher, so I'm really not the person you should consult for a definitive interpretation. The acting's good, you sympathise with the main character's plight and there's that good old-fashioned message of "You Are Not Alone". Also, just because you have one very specific thing in common does not make you soulmates. Don't stick around with people you know are toxic, even with the knowledge that you literally have nobody else in the same boat. I feel like the ending could've given the main character a better sense of closure, hopeful as that ending was but overall, Wave is a good short that I wouldn't *highly* recommend but don't think it's a bad idea to watch it on a whim if you stumble into it on Disney+.
