Audience Member Found-footage film which takes place in the most horrendous of all jungles - Papua New Guinea! Two early-20s couples venture to the jungle in search of an interview to settle the disappearance of the lost Rockefeller, Mikey. Soon into their trek a group of indigenous scare them away with gunfire. The further the group explores into the dark they meet different sorts of Whites who warn them of what's before them, yet they do not heed. The trials before them increase, especially due to the interpersonal relationships between the couples. The characters are too stereotypical and shallow (yet believable!) and the scenes often meander, yet it did keep my attention. Definitely harkening back to the the "Cannibal Boom" of the late '70s/early '80s, this late entry to this sub-sub-genre did entertain but came shy of capturing that earlier magic (lacking the controversial footage films 40 years ago used, it failed to add that "shock"). Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Among the absolutely worst movies I've seen in my life. Enough said Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The ending was the best part of the movie! 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Better than The Green Inferno, but that's not saying much. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member What a waste of a movie. For something trying to pay homage to Cannibal Holocaust (1980), it learned nothing about what made that movie work. This was a boring movie that honestly could have had similar plot points and been better with some tweaking. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Got this on blu ray for only 75p it's not bad, but by the end of it I felt sorry for the cannibals couldn't imagine having to digest that lot ,hammy acting and all, the indigestion must have been terrible Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
