Ard Vijn ScreenAnarchy A decent cast of characters and a bewildering barrage of great designs kept me glued to the screen, and bits of it are infinitely rewatchable. Jan 14, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews

chris f What a delightful, whimsical little journey. It overstays its welcome, and can be a bit ridiculous and impractical at times, especially in the way the story is structured. But the animation steals the show, with so many creative visuals mopping up the mess of the story. This is an underrated must-see for young kids. It's beautiful and wacky to delight their minds while they're still young, and they won't stress the details for the more emotional moments of the story, which are usually the best parts. Is this the best film you'll ever see? No, but it was still a good time. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful entertainment with no hidden agendas but with a lot of positive and real strong characters Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review david l Welcome to the Space Show is a chaotic anime film that is overlong, badly paced and underutilized in many of its characters and plot points, but there is no denying its amazing world building, excellent imagination, gorgeous animation and some fun characters. It's uneven, but charming and endearing throughout. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're an animation fan, you have got to see this Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I have such mixed feelings about this film. The first 2 thirds of it are unbelievable. Amazing imagination, really intriguing story, impeccable direction. I was beginning to feel that this was the Mamoru Hosoda movie he never made. I was seriously loving it. But I have never seen another movie that managed to implode on itself (semi-pun intended) so spectacularly in the last third. It really is astounding. I lost count of how many sharks were jumped. If the film had stayed consistent, we'd be looking at 4 or 4 1/2 star rating here. Ah well. It was worth it for those excellent first two acts. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Almost had a seizure, too much going on. Random, tangentially moving. First scene with the children before going into space was VERY nicely written though. Maybe 30 minutes too long . . . Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
