There's nothing revolutionary or artistically groundbreaking here, but there's something reassuring in the fact that this is what the French have anointed as their biggest hit. Vive la (low-key) diffrence. Go to Full Review

[Dany] Boon tinkers with the formula just enough to make his story fresh and the sentiment at its heart not too sweet, though compounded contrivances in the last 30 minutes of the picture threaten to unravel its peculiar magic. Go to Full Review

The movie follows the story of Philippe Abrams, a postal worker from Paris who is forced to transfer to a small town in the North of France, known as "Les Sticks". At first, Philippe struggles to adapt to the new way of life and the quirky local residents, but as he spends more time there, he begins to appreciate the simplicity and charm of the town. The film is filled with hilarious moments and witty one-liners, making it a fun and lighthearted watch. The cast is excellent, with lead actor Kad Merad delivering a standout performance as Philippe. The film's portrayal of the rural North of France is also a highlight, offering a unique and charming look at a region that is often overlooked. Overall, "Welcome to the Sticks" is a delightful film that offers a refreshing change of pace from the typical Hollywood offerings. If you're looking for a funny and feel-good movie, this is definitely worth a watch! See more 05/20/2018 Feeling warm rural minds. Happiness.
